FDOT to share Cortez Road bridge replacement plans Oct. 20

The Florida Department of Transportation is hosting a pre-construction public information session for the Cortez Road (SR 684) Bridge Replacement Project on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. at Kirkwood Church, 6101 Cortez Road West, Bradenton. The project includes a new bridge and roadway approaches from Gulf Drive (SR 789) to 123rd Street West, about 0.9 mile. The open house will share information about construction activities and traffic phasing, and the project team will be available for discussion.
